The Power of the Tongue

Watch what you say because words can hurt or heal. What did yours do today? I’m not saying be so sweet that your like syrup, or so salty that you are bitter. Words can sting and they have the power to bite, cut and/or stone the reciever. It’s important to use your words to build up and not to tear down. Have you ever noticed that a kind word is like stroking a cheek, while harsh words can eat at the heart. We must be careful how we use this weapon. It is a proven fact that this little member that sits between our nose and our chin has caused a world of problems. It has started wars, ruined marriages and even driven some to suicide. It’s been said you can put a bit in a horses mouth and turn his whole body, you can steer a great ship by just turning the rudder. Both these things can be controlled or tamed so to speak, but who can tame the tongue? It has to start with you, only you can control the words that come out of your mouth. Start right here start with the man in the mirror.
