The Positive Power of Words

In todays world everyone wants everything now, we live in the now/microwave generation but, somethings take time. I believe that words have power. I believe that they are some of the most powerful
things in the universe. But I also think anything worth having takes time, time to grow, time to develop, and time to take root. In order for our words to mean something and to have a lasting effect we must meditate on them daily. What do I mean by that? A while ago there was this post on Facebook that went viral. The post was of a father and his little girl, she was standing in front of a mirror repeating the words taught to her by her father: “I am smart, I am strong, I am beautiful, I can do anything, I won’t let anything stop me from being the best I can be.” Those words were repeated daily (and there were more), they inspire confidence and self determination. Fear will defeat you, but faith will put you over, and who do you have faith in more than anyone else? You believe in yourself. What if someone told you that all the negative things you have been saying will come to pass, and they will happen exactly as you said them. Things like: “I’m dead”, or “that is to die for”, or “they make me so sick, I could just throw up”, and don’t forget this one: “you will never ammount to anything.” We must watch what we say because what we say can and will affect our futures, and in a world full of negativity it’s important to be positive. I believe positive words said on a regular basis can combat the negative environment around us. If you don’t believe me why don’t you try it for 30 days and see what happens it can’t hurt, what’s the worst thing that could happen? You never know, it just might work.
